HOSTZILLA1. Data we collect
When you submit a request, create an account, or use the dashboard, we collect:
- Contact details — full name, email address, and phone number submitted through the request form.
- Account data — email and password (stored as a salted hash, never in plain text).
- Service data — the plan, server hostname, IP address, and SSH credentials associated with your account, so they can be displayed to you in the dashboard.
- Billing data — plan price and payment confirmation records. We do not store card numbers; payments are currently arranged and confirmed manually.
- Technical data — basic request logs (IP address, browser user agent, timestamps) for security and abuse prevention.
2. How we use your data
We use this data to: provide and manage your VPS/cPanel service, respond to support requests, secure our infrastructure against abuse, and communicate service-related notices (such as expiry or maintenance). We do not sell personal data to third parties.
3. Sharing of data
We may share limited data with: infrastructure providers who host the underlying hardware, payment or communication tools used to confirm orders, and law enforcement or regulators where required by law. Any such processors are bound by confidentiality obligations.
4. Data retention
Account and service data is retained for as long as your account is active, plus a limited period afterward for legal, accounting, and abuse-prevention purposes. You may request deletion of your account data as described in Section 6.
5. Security
We apply reasonable technical safeguards, including password hashing, session-based authentication, and access controls on the admin panel. No system is fully secure; if you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@hostzilla.example.com.
6. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@hostzilla.example.com. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe, subject to identity verification.
7. Cookies & local storage
The dashboard uses a session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not currently use third-party advertising or tracking cookies on the marketing site.
