HOSTZILLA1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes activities that are prohibited on Hostzilla VPS and cPanel services. It exists to protect the security, performance, and reputation of Hostzilla's network and its customers, and forms part of our Terms of Service.
2. Prohibited use
You may not use the Services to:
- Send unsolicited bulk email (spam) or operate open mail relays.
- Host malware, phishing pages, or command-and-control infrastructure.
- Launch or participate in denial-of-service attacks, port scanning, or unauthorized intrusion attempts against third-party systems.
- Distribute content that infringes copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights without authorization.
- Host content that is illegal in the jurisdiction where the server is located or where Hostzilla operates, including child sexual abuse material, which will be reported to the relevant authorities immediately upon detection.
- Operate services that facilitate fraud, identity theft, or unauthorized access to financial accounts.
- Attempt to bypass resource limits, security controls, or metering on shared infrastructure.
3. Resource use on managed plans
Each plan is allocated the CPU, memory, storage, and bandwidth listed on its spec sheet. Sustained use that materially degrades the experience of other customers on shared infrastructure (cPanel plans) may be limited or require an upgrade to a dedicated VPS.
4. How we handle abuse reports
When we receive a credible abuse report, we will typically: (1) review server logs and the reported content, (2) contact the account holder for an explanation or remediation, and (3) suspend the affected service if the issue is not resolved within a reasonable time or poses an immediate risk. Severe or illegal activity may result in immediate suspension without prior notice.
5. Reporting abuse
If you believe a Hostzilla-hosted service is being used to abuse, attack, or defraud you or others, please contact abuse@hostzilla.example.com with as much detail as possible, including timestamps, IP addresses, and supporting logs.
6. Enforcement
Violations of this AUP may result in warning, service suspension, or termination, at Hostzilla's discretion, as described in our Terms of Service. Repeated or severe violations may result in account termination without refund.
